What if it’s only a dream? (Lyrical)

Oh, you smiled
when I looked at you,
then I walked across the floor,

and I asked you
for a dance or two,
then we left by the back door.

No one saw me
fall in love with you,
but you saw it in my eyes,

and my love is
oh, my love for you,
our love is a sweet surprise.

In the morning,
when I wake up
you’ll be sleeping in my arms

Then you’ll wake up,
and you’ll promise me,
a lifetime of your charms,

But a promise
of forever
is never as long as it seems.

And I wonder
’bout this love of ours.
What if it’s only a dream?

Oh, I wonder
’bout this love of ours.
What if it’s only a dream.

Could You Be More Beautiful?

I can’t get over how beautiful you look in this light.
Your skin is a creamy shade of cocoa
and glows from within
with a light that would guide me home
if you looked my way more often.

You look like a movie star,
and though I’m sure that you weren’t meant for this world,
or perhaps I wasn’t meant for your world,
your charm is such that I don’t feel awkward around you.
Even your smile is a welcoming expression of contented joy.

I would ask you to dance if I weren’t afraid of cracking the rare perfection of this moment.
Of course, you would dance with me
knowing that more such moments would come.

Man with Reddish Hair

You are, in your beauty, smooth and sleek, young and fresh.  An innocence glows out from your visage.  Yet, a knowing innocence as if you can see what is in my soul.  All ways to my soul are straight and true.  I will dance with you , should you wish, but let me know when you are ready to entwine all you are, oneness, with mine.  We will then be a unity divided when apart, but whole when together.

This beauty is shocking and stunning when considered from afar, but warm and natural when realized.  Be with me and I will be with you.  You are too young and too innocent.  You know this and you’re looking for someone to fix something neither broken, nor reparable.  Take a deep breath and bide your time.  Peace will come at once and in dribs or drabs.  Though seeming paradoxical, this is not.  When it appears, you will understand.  And you will join me, though we are separated by miles.

I’m a Poet

I’m a poet, wanna dance?
I’ll wrap my words around your waist,
my tongue around your ear and pull you closer.

Listen carefully,
I want to make love to you, press myself into you and dance inside of you.
Let me hold you in my arms until you stir my soul.

If I can seduce you with my words, I will seduce you with my words.
I’ve been places in my mind that you would never let me go.

Let me go…
You captivate me.
